Joanna Czech is used to taking her skin-perfecting show on the road. The facialist, who can seemingly reverse gravity with her deep-tissue massage, has always been something of a transient complexion whisperer. When she wasn’t introducing Manhattan insiders to the clarity-boosting, anti-aging power of LED light therapy at her well-loved Sava Spa in Washington Heights, Czech was honing her sapphire peel and lymphatic drainage skills on set with actresses like Uma Thurman and Kate Winslet while providing her globetrotting clientele with just the right amount of microcurrent, no matter the time zone. When Czech left her New York home base in 2008 and followed her heart to Dallas four years later, she began traveling between the city’s Neiman Marcus salon and New York’s Core Club spa, where she maintained a monthly residence. But it wasn’t long before her Lone Star State regulars had other ideas.

“My Dallas clients were the catalyst,” Czech reveals of the driving force behind her self-titled new skincare destination, which officially opens today. The 2,000-square-foot Victory Park space features a basic menu of treatments that she expertly customizes using Biologique Recherche’s Skin Instant computer analysis to determine individual needs in the way of hydration, lipid levels, skin elasticity, and pigmentation. Constructed by Staffelbach Design Studio in a palette of white and soothing grays, the relaxing environment is equipped with three private treatment rooms and an in-house edit of Czech’s favorite products from Environ, La Mer, Omorovicza, Malin + Goetz, and Le Labo. Also on heavy rotation: her confidence, firmness-of-touch, and a technique she describes as “a bit magical,” which Czech plans to export—first to the West Coast, then to London. So much for settling down.
