When to Use Essential Oils

By: Natasha Wolff

Essential oils, highly concentrated substances extracted from aromatic herbs and plants (like evening primrose, neroli, and lavender), are flooding the beauty market, showing up in everything from shampoo to mascara. But perhaps most prominently, essential oil-based serums are being touted for their ability to treat skin issues from dryness to fine lines and even wrinkles.

Vintner’s Daughter Active Botanical Serum

“I love this product because it’s an all-in-one serum,” says Dallas-based facialist Joanna Czech. It can be used on its own as a hydrating treatment or added into your daily moisturizer. “Personally and with clients, the results are glowing, balanced, plumped, and hydrated skin,” says Czech.
