Beauty secrets of stars: How does Joanna Czech take care of herself?
I decided to check how Joanna Czech takes care of myself, i.e. beautician Kim Kardashian, Jennifer Aniston, Bella Hadid and other world-famous stars.
Joanna Czech: The evening care routine is the most important for me. The cosmetics we use work 60% more effectively when the skin is resting. At the beginning of my evening ritual, I take a shower, during which I do a full body massage with a bath gel and special massage gloves. Then I apply balm and a mixture of favorite oils. You can not forget about the whole body when we talk about care. In the next stage of my ritual I focus on the face. I thoroughly cleanse the skin with a washing gel and tonic, then do a mouth massage, apply serum, and finally eye cream and moisturizing cream. Two or three times a week, I apply a mask (or several masks) before or after applying the serum - it depends on the type of mask.
How many care products do you use each day?
About 9-10 products. Among them are facial wash gel, toner, massager, serum, eye cream and moisturizer, which I mentioned earlier, as well as lip balm, body care cosmetics, masks, eye pads and filter products, if any I need them.
I know you travel a lot. I am very curious, what care products do you take with you to the plane?
If my flight lasts more than three hours, I take with me make-up removers, tonic, moisturizing anti-oxidant serum, strongly moisturizing face cream, face masks and my face massager.
Do you like to test new care products?
This is part of my job. I don't love it, but it's a necessity. I feel like an experimental hamster, because I have a skin prone to irritation, mature, dehydrated, with mild rosacea.
Can you name your three favorite cosmetics brands?
It's quite a difficult question, but let's say Environ, Biologique and Augustinus Bader.
What are your favorite perfumes?
Fragrance World from Fischer - a new cosmetic brand from Iceland.
You once mentioned splashing cold water on your face as an effective way to reduce swelling. I have learned the hard way that it really works! Can you share other - equally effective beauty tricks with us?
I often prepare ice cubes from herbal tea (specifically from chamomile and dandelion), and then wrap them with a damp handkerchief and massage the area around the eyes or those parts of the face where I just have a mask in the sheet - this treatment improves circulation as well as relieves inflammation. In turn, potato slices work great on individual blemishes and discoloration.
