Crow’s Feet
Hello Joanna,
I started noticing some fine lines at the corner of my eyes. They are more visible when I smile. Are these crow’s feet?
The skin around the eyes is 5x thinner than the skin on the rest of our face, which is why it is one of the first areas of the face to show fine lines and wrinkles. Crow’s feet are small wrinkles that appear at the corners of your eyes, and can show up as early as your late teens. How early they show up, though, depends on your genetics and lifestyle, e.g. sun exposure, smoking, stress, diet, your facial expressions (if you are a super smiley person) etc.
There are a few measures you can take to reduce the appearance of crow’s feet. The most important one is massage. By focusing on the muscles around the eyes, daily massaging will create a lifting effect, reducing the appearance of these fine lines.
Choosing products that keep your eye area hydrated and plump aid in the reduction of the appearance of crow’s feet.
And finally, masking the eyes is another great way to get targeted hydration for this delicate area.
